SKILL translator — library translation tool

Symica importing and exporting tool provides you with an ability to transfer libraries from Cadence® platforms to Symica and the converse. You may use this functionality to load your entire project or parts of different projects previously developed on different platform to Symica environment. On contrary you may create your project or IP modules in Symica environment and then transfer them to Cadence environment for integration or back-end sign-out processing.

When importing Cadence libraries to Symica you must first create a SKILL® script file using Symica's Integration Tools in the Cadence CIW. You then import this SKILL script file into the Symica DE. With this procedure you can convert following cell views: schematic, symbol, functional, and Verilog-A.

When exporting Symica libraries to Cadence platforms you must first create a SKILL script file from the Symica DE with the Symica Integration Tools and then import it into the Cadence platform.

Various settings of the import/export procedure make it possible to convert the necessary parts of customer projects, libraries, or single cells.
